Which DinoLand attractions have closed?
DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus closed on February 2, 2026. Their final operating day was February 1. TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, The Boneyard, Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks also closed during the area’s phased transformation.

What is replacing DinoLand?
Disney is developing Tropical Americas, also called Pueblo Esperanza, with Indiana Jones and Encanto attractions, an animal-themed carousel and a children’s play area. Disney has announced 2027 as the opening year; an exact opening date should be confirmed before you book a trip specifically to experience the new land.

Should you still visit Animal Kingdom during construction?
Decide based on the experiences your family wants now, rather than counting future attractions in your plans. Leave DINOSAUR and The Boneyard off your current checklist. Review the park map and daily operating information in My Disney Experience before your visit.

Do you need to wait until 2027 to book?
Not necessarily. If the new Encanto or Indiana Jones attraction is your main reason to travel, wait for a confirmed opening date before choosing dates around it.
